Welcome. I'm Star Rush, an amateur photographer and iphoneographer in Seattle. Along with mobile photography, I love 35mm film cameras. I've been collecting a long time. Some say it's a fever. I say it's devotion. This is my collection and some film photography. The cameras aren't precious or valuable, but usable. I like them for their mechanical engineering, industrial design, and the wonderful photos they create. Trying to keep it close to home, I buy 35mm locally at Glazer's Cameras or drugstores. I use a local lab, 60 Minute Photo Lab, on Capitol Hill. Photos and cameras are 35mm, unless noted. Please contact me about using my photos. When reblogging, kindly credit me.

My iphoneography is at http://StarRush360.tumblr.com.

I think about photographs as being full, or empty. You picture something in a frame and it’s got lots of accounting going on in it—stones and buildings and trees and air—but that’s not what fills up a frame. You fill up the frame with feelings, energy, discovery, and risk, and leave room enough for someone else to get in there.
